About this role

Build and execute a strategy that includes detecting, analyzing, investigating, and reporting on a variety of cyber related threats to the firm, our clients, and other third parties. This role includes collaboration on critical and sensitive matters with stakeholders both in and outside the firm.

Job responsibilities:

  • Conduct complex end-to-end investigations of a variety of cyber threat activities relevant to the firm and its interests.
  • Communicate analysis effectively both verbally and in writing, while adhering to deadlines.
  • Perform research and analysis of adversarial cyber threats and the geopolitical/business context in which they operate.
  • Recognize and execute on new opportunities for threat investigations, control enhancements, and collaboration with other cybersecurity teams and vendors.
  • Contribute to threat prioritization, collection management, and team deliverables.

Required skills:

  • Motivated self-starter with a sharp analytic mindset and close attention to detail who can operate effectively with minimal direct supervision.
  • Practical experience tracking adversaries and conducting investigations using multiple internal and external data sources, with strong problem solving, troubleshooting, and analysis skills.
  • Demonstrated capability to analyze and coherently present complex investigative matters in a meaningful way, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong understanding of technical and networking concepts, common criminal tactics, techniques, and procedures, and a willingness to continue learning.
  • Ability to develop strategy, perform, and assess the outcome of interviews involving victims, witnesses, and perpetrators.
  • Significant experience collaborating with a diverse array of internal and external stakeholders in service of enhancing an organization's cyber security posture.

Desired skills:

  • Ability to manage ambiguity and an evolving threat landscape with changing priorities.
  • Functional understanding of common threat analysis models such as the Diamond Model, Cyber Kill Chain, and MITRE ATT&CK.
  • Scripting in one or more languages to automate security processes.
