VCA Brookline Animal Hospital is seeking a full time Experienced or Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our well-established hospital as a surgical coordinator. Our seven-doctor practice is located in the heart of Brookline, a mile from downtown Boston. We pride ourselves on providing progressive care in a state-of-the-art facility. You’ve worked hard for your credentialing, and we want you to use the knowledge that you’ve invested your time and talent in.

Admin duties would include and not limited to:

  • preparing surgical paperwork
  • preparing ultrasound paperwork
  • checking surgery and ultrasound patients in
  • discharging the same patients
  • follow up post-op phone calls
  • scheduling surgery and ultrasound appts, calling to confirm and going over pre op instructions
  • providing updates to clients during the day about their pet’s surgery, etc.
  • assisting in keeping track of surgical supplies inventory and ordering
  • Willingness to join the team on the floor as needed

Qualifications:

  • Must have documented previous experience
  • Hold a current CVT license or prior, extensive experience
  • Must have surgery experience
  • Customer service skills
  • Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Capable of being cross-trained as receptionist and kennel assistant
  • Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatment
  • Thrive in a fast paced, high volume environment
  • Excellent multitasking skills and ability to make efficient use of down time

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $28.00 per hour
