BluePearl Specialty + Emergency Pet Hospital is hiring Credentialed Veterinary Technicians and Experienced Veterinary Assistants for our hospitals located in Tampa Bay, Southwest, Central, and Southeast Florida (Tampa, Brandon, Clearwater, Town N Country, Sarasota, Naples, Ft. Myers, Maitland, and Ft. Lauderdale)

Qualified Credentialed Veterinary Technicians and Experienced Veterinary Assistants are eligible for a Sign-On Bonus and/or Relocation Bonus! We provide competitive compensation, flexible schedules, and generous overnight and weekend differentials.

Below are the hospital locations and the departments they are hiring for:

• Tampa: Emergency Nights
• Brandon: Emergency Nights
• Sarasota: Surgery, Anesthesia, and Emergency Nights
• Naples: Surgery, Anesthesia, and Emergency Day & Nights
• Ft. Myers: Emergency Nights

As a Veterinary Technician, you will:

• Client education, gathering histories and communicating that to the Clinician.
• Perform physical exam; accurately count heart, pulse rate, capillary refill time, mucous membranes, temperature, respiratory rate and effort.
• Understand normal vital parameters
• Place IVC's and advanced catheters like Jugular catheters, Central Lines or PICC lines.
• Operate all brands of intravenous fluid pumps and can troubleshoot errors.
• Restrain patients during consults and during diagnostics.
• Triage and identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR
• Perform specialized treatment and procedures.
• Set up constant rate infusions (CRI).
• Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia.
• Set up for ultrasound and radiology procedures.
• Monitor and care for ventilator cases.
• Perform callbacks and refill medications.
• Work alongside other skilled technicians and assistants in providing excellent, advanced medicine to your patients.
• Have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers.
• Feel gratification of nursing critically ill patients back to health and reunite them with their pet parents.
