North Windham Veterinary Hospital is looking for a Veterinary Technician to join their wonderful team!

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides compassionate care to patients and clients
• Keeps accurate medical records in accordance with hospital policy
• Prepares and maintains the exam rooms and treatment areas
• Performs physical assessments and records observations
• Prepares estimates for procedures and discusses financial commitments with clients
• Explains necessary follow up and home care instructions
• Stocks clinic treatment area and exams rooms
• Assists the Veterinarian in medical, surgical procedures; prepares patients for surgery; administers anesthesia; monitors patients during surgery and recovery; administers fluids
• Cares for all surgical materials; keeping the operating room properly stocked and prepared for surgery

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of one year experience as a Veterinary Technician in a clinic/hospital setting
• Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT) or License (LVT) preferred but not required
• Must have a positive attitude and be a team player

Serving the communities of Windham, Raymond, Casco, Gray, Standish, Westbrook, and greater Portland since 1989, the practice moved from its original location into the current hospital in 2007. We are a full-service dog and cat veterinary hospital that provides a wide range of services including preventative and wellness care, surgery, dentistry, pain management, sick patient diagnostics and medical care/daytime hospitalization, digital radiology (including dental), an in-house laboratory and pharmacy, including prescription diets.
