We are a full service hospital, providing boarding, bathing and grooming.

We have been providing high quality patient care in Irvine for over 40 years, enriching and protecting the special relationship between pets and their people. Our energetic and passionate team includes 4 veterinarians and 20 support team members. We are well equipped with ultrasound, digital radiography, including digital dental radiography, and the most advanced patient monitoring tools; and we offer a positive, team-oriented work environment.

We are searching for Veterinary Assistants with outstanding skills with pets and people - knowledgeable about veterinary medicine, and a comfort for developing relationships with all team members and clients.

Skills you will be utilizing/learning include, but are not limited to:

• Patient Assessment – Differentiating routine cases from urgent & emergency cases
• Anticipating the needs of the veterinarian
• Completing patient treatments in a timely manner
• Venipuncture & IV Catheter placement
• Radiology
• Pharmacy
• Surgical Preparation
• Anesthetic Monitoring
• Dentistry
• Patient Recovery
• Maintaining electronic medical records with accurate & detailed data
• Client communication & education
• Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for all pets in the hospital
• Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring the hospital is neat and clean at all times – both inside and outside

We are open 7 days a week. This position does require the ability to work at least 1 weekend day each week. The shifts are 4 days a week at 10 hours each. Salary is $19-22 depending on experience.
