What a Veterinary Assistant will do: Work with a team to create memorable appointments, obtain and chart patient histories, pet friendly restraint techniques, nail trims, ear cleaning, laser therapy, educate owners about pet wellness, prevention and treatment plans, educate owners about common diseases their symptoms and means of transmission.

Compensation: Starting pay $15.00/hour.

Vacation: After one year of employment, with the company, you will be eligible for annual vacation based on the number of hours worked.

Paid Time Off: Starts after 90 days and accrues at a per hour basis.

Paid Volunteer Day: Up to one day per year with the organization of your choice. This is based on your normal scheduled work day up to eight hours.

Health Benefits: Compensated up to 50% of the premium for an employee who works more than thirty hours a week.

Discount Veterinary Services: 20% veterinary discount.

Pet Insurance: Full-time will receive coverage for two of your personal pets that live in your home. Part-time will receive coverage for one pet that lives in your home. This coverage is for accident only.

Uniforms: $100.00 a year for full-time, $50.00 a year for part-time.

IRA: After one year of employment, with a contribution of 3% of your salary each month.
