Position Overview
The Division of Development Disabilities is eagerly seeking to hire a dynamic, organized, detail-oriented Waiver Rates Unit Supervisor for the Bureau of Reimbursement and Program Support in Springfield. This position will participate in and manage professional staff in the review, processing and approval of Waiver and Community Integrated Living Arrangement (CILA) rates funding.
Job Responsibilities
- Serves as the Waiver Rates Unit Supervisor.
- Serves as a full line supervisor.
- Develops, evaluates, and recommends rate setting methodologies for Waiver programs.
- Serves as liaison between the other Division Staff, community agency providers, ISS agencies, Advocacy Groups and other Department staff to resolve issues of Waiver rates, funding, program enrollments and terminations.
- Conducts presentations and/or training to groups concerning Waiver Rates.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college with course work in a public or business administration.
- Requires three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization.
Preferred Qualifications (in priority order)
- Three (3) years of professional experience developing, evaluating, forecasting and recommending methodologies for funding and reimbursement programs utilizing Microsoft Office, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and Word.
- Two (2) years of professional experience working with program rates, funding and reimbursements, utilizing databases and spreadsheet applications.
- Two (2) years of professional management experience in the review, processing and approval of funding.
- Two (2) years of professional experience training and providing technical assistance on funding processes and procedures.
- Two (2) years of professional experience interacting with and communicating in oral and written form with internal and external stakeholders.
- Two (2) years of professional supervisory experience assigning work, providing guidance to subordinates, recommending counseling and/or discipline, training staff and approving time off.
Work Hours: Mon - Fri, 8:30am - 5:00pm
