Location: Professors, instructors, and tutors are needed for immediate hiring for in-person tutoring of students throughout Hampton Roads, Virginia. Tutor must reside in Hampton Roads, Virginia or surrounding areas (specifically in Hampton, Newport News, York County, James City County, Norfolk, Williamsburg, Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, Gloucester, Charles City, Surry, Suffolk, New Kent County, King William County, Smithfield or surrounding areas).

Experience: A minimum of three years tutoring or teaching experience is required.

Education: A minimum of an Associate's degree from an accredited college is required.

Skills : Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, reliability, integrity, and the ability to clearly explain complex concepts to learners. Specialized understanding of foreign language, test prep or math subject areas for elementary, middle, high school and/or college level courses such as geometry, calculus, algebra, trigonometry, probability, statistics, etc. Familiarity with using an online platform such as Zoom. All tutors will be hired to provide both in-person AND online tutoring (not one or the other).

Job Responsibilities: Tutor will provide one-on-one in-person and online tutoring to a student at the student's home or via an online platform to improve the student's ability to in the content area, establish working mastery in the curriculum and to increase the student's grade in the course if applicable. Tutor is responsible for regularly communicating updates regarding student progress to parents/guardian and documenting a synopsis of each tutoring session at the close of the session. Tutor must have his/her own internet access, online platform membership, and resources for tutoring.

Earning Potential: Tutor can earn between $18-25/hour. Bonuses/incentives of $50-$150 are paid to tutors who refer individuals who join our team as a tutor or as contracted clients receiving tutoring services.

Schedule: Tutor will work according to his /her individual availability any days of the week not to exceed 30 hours per week. Tutors may work between three (3) to thirty (30) hours per week between 8 a.m. and 8 p m. EST. Tutors set the days and times they prefer to work and number of hours per week they wish to work.
