The Bellefonte YMCA is currently accepting applications for a part-time Tumbling Instructor to be responsible for the operation of youth fitness classes at the branch. Successful candidates should be available to teach on Monday or Wednesday evenings. Time is flexible depending on instructor availability.

Primary Responsibilities

• Create a warm and positive environment while encouraging participants to meet course objectives.
• Follow YMCA of the USA and YMCA of Centre County program guidelines and lesson plans.
• Teach age appropriate techniques and modify as necessary based on skill level of participants.
• Always take attendance using the class roster. Those not listed on the roster must register at the member services desk.
• Encourage proper behavior for participants and parents. Alert the Youth Programs Director of any issues.

Qualifications

• Dance and/or tumbling experience.
• Ability to cooperate and work with YMCA staff to provide a quality program.
• Previous experience working with youth is helpful.

• $10.00 per hour.
