Legend Seeds as “Your Regional Seed Leader” serves a seven-state footprint area, who employs over 100 team members and has eight different site locations, is moving at a fast pace to be the #1 seed choice for every acre in our footprint. Therefore, Legend Seeds has committed to secure an experienced, energetic, and motivated Truck Driver to join our growing sales team to develop, maintain and grow relationships with our dealers. This individual’s superior relationship building skills and key sales techniques will be an asset to Legend Seeds in our drive for continue SUCCESS!

The Truck Driver will work directly with our Distribution Team to ensure that loads are delivered in a timely and efficient manner. The primary duties of this position include delivering product to our customers and getting supplies to our processing locations. The position also works with our Research Team planting and harvesting research plots. There is some overnight travel involved. This position will promote the three pillars of Legend GROWTH, PROFITABILITY, and CULTURE.

What will your day be like?

• Prepare, Load, & Unload seed
• Maintain Legend equipment (truck), and assure compliance w/ DOT Regulations
• Assist with the Plot program in the Spring and Fall
• Assist the warehouse bagging, re-bagging, and treating seed when not driving
• Participate in Legend Seeds related activities, events, and meetings.
• Ensure that company assets are well-cared for and properly maintained.
• Ensure all tasks in a safe manner

Best Candidate will have:

• Must have CDL (Class A with Air Brakes and Health Card)
• Must be an insurable driver and be safety oriented
• Forklift experience with certification or ability to obtain immediately
• Ability to lift 60 lbs
• Ability to push a pallet jack with approximately 2,700 lbs. of seed
• Attention to detail with a high level of customer service

Work Environment

The majority of time will be spent driving a truck with occasional time working at warehouses.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some standing and lifting is required. This would require bending and ability to lift to 60 pounds as necessary.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, typical hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional earlier start times, evening and/or weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

75% travel is expected for this position
