Triage
Registered Nurse (RN) with a passion to be part of the Emergency Department team. Astera Health has been providing services to the Wadena, Otter Tail, and Todd county communities for nearly 100 years. This Registered Nurse role is considered
part-time, scheduled at 48-hours bi-weekly, day shifts. Triage RN's are responsible for providing assessments, physical, and psychological support services for patients presenting to the ReadyCare and Emergency Departments for care, including triaging patients via phone.

Some responsibilities of the Triage RN include, but are not limited to the following:
- Provide triage nurse assessment services for patient and telephone calls and patients presenting to the ReadyCare and Emergency Departments
- Document each patient interaction timely and accurately
- Collaboration with physicians/providers
- Provide education and advice to patients
- Use of IB therapy skills
- Lead and provide direction in emergent situations
Competencies required include:
- Ability to effectively operate standard office machines, medical equipment, and electronic medical health systems
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
- Strong oral and written communication skills
Education and experience required:
- Current licensure as Registered Nurse (RN) in Minnesota
- Maintain active BLS, ACLS, and STABLE Certifications
- Maintain CALS and PALS certifications, or obtain and maintain within 3 months upon hire
- Previous Emergency Department, nurse triage, and cardiac monitoring experience
Or combined years of relevant education and experience to perform the essential duties of the position
