Service Technician-RMS Roller-Grinder

So, what does a Customer Service Technician do?

Our valued team members provide onsite customer service to our customers. You will work on roller grinders by providing routine machine maintenance. You may also help with installing equipment or taking some out. This is position is perfect for someone that enjoys working with their hands and troubleshooting. NO experience needed, all you need is a great aptitude and attitude and we will set you up on the road for success!!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Complete roll changes, including taking out dull rolls, changing bearings on the rolls, changing belts, and putting sharp rolls back into the machine. As well as replacing parts as need in the roller grinder.
  • Trouble shoots issues that arise on roller grinders and accessory equipment.
  • Ability to work with PLC driven components
  • DOT compliance (within 90 days of employment)
  • Customer relations
  • Maintaining a safe work environment, while efficiently preparing for service calls and while on the road.
  • Organize tools and parts for service trips.
  • Effectively and safely be able to operate a forklift, overhead crane, winches and power tools.
  • You will work 3-4 consecutive days a week typically - Full Time - 45-55 hours per week (yes that means you get some OT!)

MINIMIUM EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Class A CDL driver’s license with a clean driving record or have the ability to obtain a Class A CDL within 90 days of employment is required. We will help you achieve this!!!
  • High school diploma/GED Preferred
  • Ability to read work orders
  • Must be able to load and unload materials as needed.
  • Must be willing to travel for this position all over the United States and comply with all DOT regulations

o You will work 3-4 consecutive days a week – Full Time – 40-50 hours per week

o You will also work a few weekends per year

o Travel with vary from driving or flying to the site

o Travel will vary from being home (day trips) to staying overnight at a service location. This is a GREAT opportunity to grow your skills and see the country!

  • Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Desire to cross train in other departments
  • Machine maintenance or welding skills preferred
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check, physical and drug test required
