Position Requirements:

• Must be licensed to practice Radiologic Technology in a state, territory, or commonwealth of the Unites States or the District of Columbia.
• Certifications: in Radiology with ARRT
• Vaccinations: FLU required

Compensation Range:

$2600-$2670 Gross Weekly Pay (includes travel per diem for housing and meals)

Hired applicant will be eligible for relocation expense reimbursement, certification and license reimbursement while on assignment, and overtime pay if required and approved by client.

Job Description:

As an X-Ray Technologist you will:

• Position patients and adjusts equipment for taking x-rays following established procedures.
• Instruct patient regarding procedures; observe patient for vital signs during examination.
• Follow prescribed safety standards in operating radiology equipment.
• Select length and intensity for radiation exposure by adjusting equipment on individual patient basis.
• Examine radiology images for properties such as density and contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion.
• Authorize release of patient upon completion of radiology examination.
• Develop and process radiology images; deliver images to radiologist for reading/interpretation; assist in filing paperwork, processing and quality control.
• Maintain examination room, stocks necessary medical and radiology supplies.
• Clean and make minor adjustment to radiology equipment.
• Track maintenance requirements and schedules service for equipment as needed.
• Process and upload X-rays and reports to electronic database.
• Conduct Pulmonary Function Testing Specialist PFT/Spirometry as ordered.
• Perform any additional reasonable roles and responsibilities as determined necessary by the Diagnostic Services Administrator

This position is located in the Radiology Department, Medical Imaging Services/X-ray Section of a 99-bed hospital in Gallup, NM. The hospital provides specialized diagnostic medical services on in-patient and out-patient, basis in the area of Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Pediatrics, General Surgery, Radiology and Obstetrics/Gynecology.

Required Qualifications:

6 month’s minimum experience as an X-Ray Tech. Technologist. Incumbent must have successfully completed some type of training in the Radiology field or have gained successful experience by working in an active Radiology Department. Incumbent must be registered with ARRT [American Registry of Radiologic Technologist], with current license in Radiography
