Olsson’s traffic experts provide clients with a single resource for such traditional services as traffic operations studies, pedestrian circulation studies, and intersection improvement/design projects. They are also proficient in more complex projects, including conducting citywide safety studies, improving signal systems, and evaluating and designing Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS).

As a Travel Demand Modeler - Engineer or Planner, you will work as part of a team to perform engineering, planning, and project management duties on small- to medium-sized projects and meet client needs from conception to completion. You will also process design calculations, assist with developing project scopes and schedules, and travel to job sites for observation if required.

• We have one current opening and will consider candidates interested in being located out of either Overland Park, Des Moines, Fayetteville, Denver, Colorado Springs, Lincoln, Omaha or Oklahoma City office locations.

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to contribute and work well on a team
• Experience with TransCAD, additional Travel Demand Modeling software experience a plus.
• 2-12 years of planning or modeling experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, planning, or related field.
• Experience with VISSIM and Synchro is preferred, but not required
