Focus Staff is seeking an Anesthesia Technologist in WAUSAU , WI who is highly motivated and energetic.

Contract Assignment ? 13 Weeks (Temporary)
Shift: 5x8 Days

Requirements:
  • Motivated candidates who are looking for career growth
  • AHA Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers
  • BSN from accredited nursing program, and proper licensure
  • Excellent communication skills with the staff, physicians, patients, and families
Work Experience: At least 2 years of experience

Responsibilities:
  • Under the direct supervision of a registered nurse, the Anesthesia Technician maintains anesthesia supplies and equipment and provides assistance to the anesthesia staff.
  • You will be responsible for monitoring and providing patient care.
  • Anesthesia techs engage in various pre-operation responsibilities such as setting up the anesthesia gas machine and checking gas lines.
  • They prepare supplies for intubation, central breathing lines, oxygen measurement tools and more. After surgery is complete, anesthesia techs enter the operating room to break down this equipment.
  • Anesthesia techs support other members of the anesthesia care team. They may be called upon to transport a patient to the operating room.
  • Anesthesia technicians often operate a variety of mechanical equipment to evaluate and manage a patient?s condition while they are undergoing anesthesia. Successful techs maintain an effective working relationship with staff, managers, physicians, patients and their families. They positively contribute to a strong team culture.
