Responsibilities
- Transport patients
- Cleans equipment
- Returns transport equipment to nursing units
- Assists Supervisor in training of staff
- Assists Supervisor with new hire training
- Assists Supervisor in dept/employee policy compliance
- Assists Supervisor in completing appropriate forms for tracking transport assignments
- Conducts and or schedules staff meetings and monthly in-services of procedures, policy and safety standards
- Completes bi-weekly work schedules
- Responsibility of ensuring that all transportation equipment is in good operating condition
- Checks faulty equipment and makes arrangements for repairs
- Receives requests from nursing units and other departments for service and makes arrangements to have same performed in a timely manner
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- One year patient transport experience.
- Ability to read, write and speak English required.
Preferred
- Ability to speak Spanish preferred.
- HS/GED preferred.
Pay Range
$15.5626 - $21.3986 /hour
