Responsibilities

  • Transport patients
  • Cleans equipment
  • Returns transport equipment to nursing units
  • Assists Supervisor in training of staff
  • Assists Supervisor with new hire training
  • Assists Supervisor in dept/employee policy compliance
  • Assists Supervisor in completing appropriate forms for tracking transport assignments
  • Conducts and or schedules staff meetings and monthly in-services of procedures, policy and safety standards
  • Completes bi-weekly work schedules
  • Responsibility of ensuring that all transportation equipment is in good operating condition
  • Checks faulty equipment and makes arrangements for repairs
  • Receives requests from nursing units and other departments for service and makes arrangements to have same performed in a timely manner

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
  • One year patient transport experience.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English required.
Preferred
  • Ability to speak Spanish preferred.
  • HS/GED preferred.

Pay Range
$15.5626 - $21.3986 /hour
