We are seeking individuals to help with Transportation Needs throughout our agency:

• Transportation Aide-Region V Crisis Receiving Center-Full Time-Godwin Blvd in Suffolk, VA
• Van Drivers-Pathways Program-Part Time-Commercial Lane & Godwin Blvd in Suffolk, VA

**Experience with clients transporting clients with medical or mental health concerns preferred. **

Responsibilities and Duties for Transportation Aide:

• Transports consumers to assigned program destination, ensures that proper safety standards are maintained on board the vehicle
• Complete daily records and maintain paperwork
• Perform daily vehicle maintenance checks and safety equipment inspections. Communicate effectively with diversified groups of people.
• Assist physically/mentally challenged individuals entering and exiting the vehicles as required

Qualifications and Skills for Transportation Aide & PT Van Driver:

• High School Diploma or GED
• One year work experience transporting individuals with ID/DD or SMI-Preferred
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable DMV record- Required
• Ability to lift fifty pounds
• CDL not required but preferred for Van Driver
• Pre-employment physical and annually, thereafter.
• Preferred: First Aid, ad CPR certified
