SOCCER SHOTS DMV:

Soccer Shots DC/MD/VA (DMV) was established in 2009 Soccer Shots DMV stretches from Harford Co, MD to Prince William Co, VA. Soccer Shots DMV offices are located in Laurel, MD, Fairfax, VA & Lutherville, MD. Soccer Shots DMV works closely with Soccer Shots Franchising National Headquarters in Middletown, PA. Soccer Shots DMV offers programs at nearly 450 locations, serves over 29,000 participants, and employs approximately 100+ part-time coaches and 30+ full-time employees.

REPORTS TO: Director of Talent Development & Culture Soccer Shots DMV

OBJECTIVE OF POSITION: To effectively lead the team of Training Coordinators in executing all duties related to the training standards & operations for Soccer Shots DC/MD/VA. This role will be asked to assist in the following:

Salary: $45,000 + Bonuses per year

Training

  • Implement the company’s high standard for coaching, and develop a team of high performing coaches
  • Manage and develop training process for all new coaches
  • Responsible for efficient of on-boarding of newly hired coaches
  • Coordinate with Coaching Department on staffing needs and organize training events
  • Work with Coaching Coordinators on the schedule and execution of seasonal evaluations on all coaches
  • Coordinate evaluation performance and retraining programs for coaches that do not meet the Soccer Shots standards

Coaching

  • Coach 10 sessions per week depending on business needs
  • Ensure master coaching schedule is updated
  • Running program demos as needed
  • Communicate with parents, directors, and other partners as needed

Staff Leadership & Quality Control

  • Management/supervision of Training Coordinators, Coaches, and/or Interns
  • Coach/Mentor Training Coordinators and Coaches in Training to ensure the coaching & customer experience is to the highest Soccer Shots standards
  • Improve NPS scores through proper training of coaches in training

Administration:

  • Update the calendar with trainings and evaluations as scheduled
  • Work with team to ensure new trainees have all equipment and gear
  • Ensure the pipeline document is updated in real time
  • Responsible for recording, filing & certifying evaluations for coaches in training
  • Work with Recruiting Team and Human Resources to ensure coaches have all required paperwork prior to level 1 certification.

WORKING HOURS/LOCATION/SCHEDULE:

The job description above is a full-time, Exempt position requiring a minimum of 40-45 hours of work per week. Many Soccer Shots programs run weeknights & weekends, and availability is paramount. You will be expected to work out of our office in Laurel, MD and travel throughout DC/MD/VA.

1. For Soccer Shots to be the best run, most popular, and most successful program offered in DC/MD/VA

2. For Soccer Shots to have a reputation of excellence. An objective measure of each territory’s reputation for quality will be learned in the Net Promoter Score survey conducted at the end of each season

3. To be a Top 10% franchise in participant registration and revenue (in category) and per capita rating and to meet and exceed seasonal and annual enrollment and revenue goals

COMPANY EXPECTATIONS:

1. Prompt, reliable, and professional communication—always responds to coaches in training, team members, supervisor and other Soccer Shots support staff within 24 hours

2. Meet weekly, seasonal, and annual timelines and deadlines. Develop systems to stay organized, keep good records, and be efficient with your time

3. Meet seasonal performance goals as determined by supervisor.

4. Provide excellent on boarding experience and training to new coaches

5. Adhere to all company policies and represent Soccer Shots with professionalism and integrity

6. Hire, train, and manage a team of Training Coordinators who will uphold a standard of excellence and create a positive reputation for Soccer Shots.

PERFORMANCE EVALUATIONS AND REVIEWS:

  • Performance will be reviewed after the first 60 days of employment
  • Objectives of the position and company expectations will be reviewed quarterly through a meeting with supervisor
  • Soccer Shots will perform an annual review in December of each calendar year
