JOB SUMMARY
The Training Manager is direct report to the Vice President of Training. The Training Manager is responsible for ensuring that all Protective Security Officers maintain certifications through effective and efficient management of credential monitoring, training scheduling and coordination. The Training Manager is responsible for the day-to-day training operations and quality control inspections of the Hawaiian Islands, Guam, American Samoa, and Saipan. The Training Manager will ensure that all requirements in the statement of work (SOW) related to training and certification are strictly adhered to.
The Training Manager will submit monthly training schedules in a timely manner consistent with the requirements listed in the SOW. The Training Manager will work closely with the Director of Quality Control Western Region and the Training Team Lead Western Region. It is expected of the Training Manager that they build productive and professional relations ships with Paragon Management and Federal Protective Service personnel.
This position requires travel to CONUS for training and indoctrination as well as inter-island travel for training and quality control inspections.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Develop and conduct required training programs for new hires and current employees.
Monitor, evaluate, or record training activities for program effectiveness.
Offer specific training programs to help workers maintain or improve job skills; developalternative training methods if expected improvements are not seen.
Organize and develop, or obtain, training procedure manuals and course materials such as handoutsand visual materials.
Present information using a variety of instructional techniques or formats such as role playing,stimulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos or lectures.
Evaluate training materials prepared by instructors, such as outlines, text, or handouts.
Conduct quality assurance inspections to include security screening operations at federal facilities.
Provide instruction to new hires and current employees as required to maintain and improvemarksmanship skills.
Responsible for all aspects of quality control under the contract
Develop an inspection process based on the contract requirements while performing anddocumenting inspections, analyzing the resulting data, and submitting the data to theDirector of Quality Control
1.Must be 21 years of age.
2.Must be an U.S. Citizen and read, write, and speak English.
3.Trainer must have background with a minimum of two (2) years of training and fieldsupervision experience in civilian community law enforcement, military service lawenforcement or commercial/industrial security force service.
4.Must have supervisor and conflict management skills (problem solving skills, good written and
5.verbal communication skills).
6.Trainer must have background with a minimum of two (2) years of training experience incivilian community law enforcement, military service law enforcement or commercial/ industrialsecurity force service.
7.Trainer must have completed an approved and accredited Firearms Instructor (Range Official)course (e.g. NRA, a Police Academy, State POST Academy, FLETC, DOD or military trainingcourse) certifying them as instructor.
8.Training Instructor shall possess appropriate certifications to training in First Aid, CPR, AED,Defensive Tactics, Handcuffing, Baton, OC Spray and Firearms Instruction.
9.Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, word, excel, and PowerPoint
10.Must be able to obtain and maintain instructor certifications as required.
11.Previous training and/or quality control experience in a managerial position is a plus.
12.General Training Certifications – minimum of 2 years must be verifiable
13.Proficiency with Audio Visual Equipment
14.Must be able to Obtain USG suitability for work on US Government contracts.
15.Trainer will provide x-ray or metal detector screening training to the PSOs.
16.Trainer must provide ongoing OJT training to each PSO operating screening equipment every 60days
17.Trainer will conduct overt testing at screening stations
18.Trainer must conduct assessment reports of each screening post monthly
19.Trainer must successfully complete the Federal Protective Service National Weapons DetectionTraining Program
Selected candidates will be required to attend a pre-selection interview that includes an oral board and proficiency demonstration of required certifications.

Wage range for this position is $65,000-$80,000 Benefits:

The paid leave for full time employees is from 80-240 hours / year based on longevity in the position,and sick leave is a minimum of 56 hours per year for a full-time employee
