IFF in Rochester NY is seeking a Training Coordinator to join our team!
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
- Work with site leaders to identify training and process improvement opportunities within the company.
- Onboarding of new employees.
- Development of training materials.
- Maintain site training records and participate in site audits.
- Maintain site TLM (The Learning Manager) system.
- Update site training material and records in Workbook and SharePoint.
- Utilize ID framework to build new training and training material as needed by the site.
- Conduct site training as needed. Examples include: Site On-Boarding, SHE training, Food Safety Training, Computer system training, etc.
- Participate in the creation and revision of WKIs, SOPs, Forms and Batch Records to meet training and continuous improvement objectives.
- Educate, engage, and empower staff by creating and facilitating lean training and development programs.
- Administer skill demonstrations, knowledge test and job qualifications as needed.
- Must be capable of becoming Training of Trainers & Instructional Design (TOT/ID) certified, with the potential to become a master TOT/ID trainer.
- Frequent communications with Operators, Department Managers, Production Supervisors, and Operations Excellence – Effectiveness Manager on Training and OEE objectives and goals
- Assist with planning, preparation, and execution of Continuous Improvement events. Document follow up and audit event progress.
- Support Continuous Improvement and Quality Initiatives/events and conduct presentations or provide training as needed.
- Organize and chart data related to training and continuous improvement projects.
- Participate in the execution of improvement projects identified by plant leadership.
- May participate in root cause analysis.
- Perform “go and see” activities and data collection for the purposes of understanding improvement opportunities in designated area.
- Embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds and practice consensus leadership when possible.
- SAP inputs/outputs.
- Keeps a positive attitude and works through issues in a constructive manner.
- Acts in compliance with all company policies including, but not limited to: Quality, Safety, Food/Feed Safety, Environmental, GMPs, Dietary Supplements, and HACCP-HARPC.
- Responsible for adherence to all quality systems including ISO 22000 Food Safety, FAMI-QS and NSF Dietary Supplements with an understanding of IFF/Danisco Corporate Quality policies and procedures.
- Responsible to complete training and perform qualified individual tasks according to site’s Food/Feed Safety Plan.
Job Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- AAS/BS degree in teaching, a scientific/ technical field or HS Diploma with 2 or more years related experience.
- Basic knowledge of training practices.
- Experience managing training systems and building training material preferred.
- Experience in Lean/Continuous Improvement experience a plus
- Strong Computer Skills –Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Must be able to effectively prioritize, organize, and plan responsibilities to meet objectives.
- Must be a self-starter that can work with minimal supervision
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills to work with a very interactive and self-directed group.
- Highly motivated and Safety conscious.
WORK CONDITIONS:
- Position will be a day shift with the potential for some off hours training.
- Position requires routinely walking within a Manufacturing environment.
- May be required to stand while training multiple full day workshops/trainings.
- Travel may be required to maintain training certification/leverage training best practices.
