Train and instruct students by planning, preparing, and executing (operating), and maintaining computer-aided combat simulations that support courses of instruction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform equipment issue, set up, teardown, recovery, property accountability inventories, and recordkeeping for SOI-E’s accountable property to include coordinating computers warranty issues and repairs for issued hardware. Support SOI-E simulation lesson development for specific POIs including master lesson file element(s) revision/creation.
• Update DVTE software images for each new version of DVTE. Identify simulation shortfalls, as they apply to the academic programs of instruction at SOI-E, making recommendations on how to reduce or eliminate the shortfalls.
• Coordinate and execute SOI-E participation in user testing and acceptance testing for new versions of DVTE.
• Serve as an assistant instructor for all DVTE supported practical applications during the SOI-E supported courses. Provide simulation and expertise support in the warfighting areas of maneuver, command and control, intelligence, and ground and aviation fires.
• Record and distribute the results of After Action Reviews (AARs).

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Must have course completion certificates for the most recent VBS version for the folowing courses offered through Bohemia Interactive Simulations: VBSX Administrator Course, VBSX Scripting Course, Model Rigging and Import Course, and Terrain Generation Course.

CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and/or SharePoint.
• Continuous proficiency installing, configuring, operating, troubleshooting and maintaining Deployable Virtual training Environment (DVTE)/Virtual Battle Space 3 (VBS3) or its successor.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Required to sit or stand for extended periods of time and maintain focus.

SPECIAL POSITION NOTATIONS

• Occasional travel may be required.
• Qualification as an authorized company driver is required. All authorized company drivers must have a valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and a driving record that is acceptable to the company’s auto insurance provider.
