TRAILER MECHANIC DETAILS:
- Preventative maintenance inspections.
- Responsible for the repair, troubleshoot trailers.
- Repair work to dry and reefer van bodies, trailers and liftgates.
- Diagnosing faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.
- Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems using hand and power tools.
- Testing repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers’ specifications.
- Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment.
- May perform repair work on heavy trucks
TRAILER MECHANIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2+ years of experience in a related field
- Vocational education strongly preferred
- Minimum tool requirement preferred
- Valid drivers license
- Applicant subject to a Motor Vehicle Report
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
Salary $18.00 to $22.00
