The Traffic Engineering Project Manager will help build that limitless future for the team, company and community.


Primary Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Oversee preparation of traffic engineering studies and traffic impact analyses through the life cycle of assigned project(s), including quality control.
  • Strengthen the RKA brand through business development efforts across state.
  • Manage multiple private sector traffic studies and provide technical quality control on projects.
  • Prepare project fee proposals and tracks costs, schedules, and performance measurements for assigned projects.
  • Supervise and mentor staff.
  • Attend and lead meetings related to projects.

Requirements:

Educational and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer.
  • 6+ years of experience

Skills Requirements:

  • Proven track record of completing traffic studies in the state.
  • Existing contacts and strong relationships with DOT, localities, and other review agencies.
  • Existing contacts and strong relationships with private sector development clients.
  • Must be willing to travel to interface with clients.
  • Knowledge of appropriate technical analysis standards and practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to make presentations to large groups.
  • Strong knowledge of Synchro, SIDRA, and other applicable software.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, etc).
  • Works well independently and collaboratively.
  • Detail-oriented, adaptable, and natural problem-solver capable of probing issues and finding appropriate resolutions.
