Traffic Engineer Job at Keystaff, Inc.
Primary Purpose: The Traffic Engineer is professional and technical work related to engineering support of Sarasota County’s traffic signal system, Advanced Traffic Management Systems (ATMS) and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). This position will assist in continuous operation of the Traffic Management Center (TMC), signal timing system, coordinate signal operations with the signal maintenance unit, municipalities, the state and regional entities. This position will also assist in conducting traffic engineering studies and designing and reviewing Temporary Traffic Control Plans (TTC). Customer service experience a plus.
Essential Functions: Engineering Analysis and Support, Signal Systems Operations and Coordination, External Request for Data - Citizen complaint resolution. Data collection System inspection and modification.
Specific Knowledge as required: Micorsoft Office Suite, any experience with the following software: such as: Highway Capacity Software (HCS), SYNCHRO, SIDRA, and ATMS. Knowledge of transportation manuals such as the: ITE Trip Generation Handbook and Highway Capacity Manual (HCM), MUTCD, FDOT DM.
