Bryant Christie Inc. (BCI) is seeking a motivated individual for an entry level trade policy analyst position. The position will be based in BCI’s Seattle office.

The successful candidate’s primary responsibility will be to analyze differences between pesticide regulatory policies in the United States and trading partners around the world and how those differences affect agricultural exports. Policy research and analysis work would also touch on international agricultural trade policy issues such as tariffs and market access. Candidates will be expected to interact with U.S. and foreign government officials and to report to clients. Knowledge of agricultural trade policy and a scientific background is not required, but a plus.

Successful candidates will have outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills. Candidates must be self-motivated, accountable for their work, and able to simultaneously manage multiple projects. Candidates will also be expected to research and accurately comprehend agricultural regulations in numerous export markets. This position will support senior management and perform other duties as assigned. This is a salaried position that includes benefits. Salary range is $48-55K DOE.

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in political science, public policy, international affairs, agricultural sciences, or related fields;
• Strong research and writing skills;
• Strong organizational skills;
• Detail oriented; and
• Intermediate level of data analysis skill, including MS Excel and handling databases.
