Our Children’s Homestead is a Foster Care and Adoption Agency that primarily serves youth who require specialized care. Our mission is to build a strong, stable foundation of support for each youth we serve and to develop opportunities that enable them to discover and sustain a positive future. To assist us in achieving our mission, we are currently seeking Contract Therapists to join our team in the Chicago, Illinois area as independent contractors serving our clients in the city of Chicago.This is an independent contractor position and all therapists will be trained to complete documentation to comply with Medicaid Part 132 standards. Compensation for this position will be determined by educational credentials as well as experience.All candidates must possess a valid State of Illinois Driver’s License as well as reliable transportation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-home individual and family psychotherapy to children and families in foster care
  • Complete annual Mental Health Assessments, Individual Treatment Plans and Quarterly Progress Notes per current Medicaid standards
  • Assist with placement stabilization and/or crisis intervention
  • Attend all clinical staffing and Family Team Meetings for children/families

Experience/Education Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an accredited university in Psychology, Counseling or Human Services
  • Knowledge and utilization of word processing software to complete documentation
  • Spanish Speaking Persons Encouraged to Apply

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Valid Illinois Driver’s License, vehicle insurance and vehicle registration are required.

COVID-19 Vaccination Policy

Our first responsibility as a business is to ensure the safety of our current workforce, our stakeholders and our community in addition to adhering to any legal executive orders/mandates to ensure the agency remains legally compliant.

With this being said, we are now required by executive order/law to comply with state and federal COVID-19 vaccination mandates. We are taking all necessary precautions to promote public health and safety and for these reasons, all employees will be required to offer proof of receipt of an FDA-approved vaccination against COVID-19 or be subject to weekly testing. With fines for employers not adhering to the mandate being $14,000 per incident/occurrence, Our Children’s Homestead will adhere to this mandate.

Contractors of Our Children’s Homestead who are authorized to transport clients in the performance of their job duties will be reimbursed $0.55 per mile for all authorized travel at the rate established by OCH
