Under limited supervision, performs moderately complex technician functions related to the development, test, checkout, alignment, modification and assembly of electronic circuitry.

Depending upon customer:

  • Test, Troubleshoot, and repair electronic systems, boards and modules to component level. Products can include: high end computers and networking equipment, robotics, lasers, cameras, specialty semiconductor inspection or medical diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics, test procedures, material lists, and/or network addressing and IRQ's.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning analog and digital circuits to component level and determines methods or actions necessary to fix the assembly.
  • Adjust, calibrate, align, and modify circuitry and components and records effects on unit performance.
  • Check functioning of newly installed equipment to evaluate system performance under actual operating conditions.
  • Use DMMs, oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers and/or other specialized test equipment.
  • Discuss equipment issues with Engineer and collaborates on a troubleshooting plan to get equipment functioning correctly.
  • Analyze and interpret test data.
  • Handle "catch boards" to include proper routing, diagnostics and reporting in the time frame allotted for the procedure.
  • Assist in the development of repair processes and procedures to include update of existing documentation.
  • Provide product specific training, troubleshooting and technical support to other technicians as needed.
  • May use Small hand held/power tools in the assembly and disassembly of intermediate to complex mechanical/optical equipment such as cameras, lasers and microscopes, etc.
  • May require some thru-hole, and surface mount soldering.
  • May require some activities to be performed in a class 100 clean room environment.
  • Document all repairs in a repair history database.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.75 - $23.00 per hour
