About the role

magniX is seeking Test Engineering Interns to assist with test facilities and setup, long-term test planning, and test cell operation for our Electric Propulsion Units. As the Test Engineering Intern, you will gain valuable exposure into the entire EPU and component test lifecycle and be provided ample hands-on opportunities as training progresses. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, hands-on, and have a go-getter attitude. The internship duration is at-least 4-6 months.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist with test cell cooling system and propeller test setup.
• Work with engineers on “Wet Rig” instrumentation install and commissioning.
• Assist Power Electronics engineers with testing activities as needed.
• Inventory, organize, and coordinate calibration of existing test equipment.
• Assist the Test Engineering team in creating and processing test requests for all the components and EPUs (Electric Propulsion Units)
• Observe and participate in test plan writing as needed.
• Opportunities to travel to Moses Lake (Grant County International Airport) to assist with testing activities.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as an Engineering Student in either Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Computer Engineering.
• Comfortable working hands-on with test equipment and tools.
• Lab experience in writing or conducting testing to a high level of quality preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and go-getter attitude is a must!
• Ability to travel to Moses Lake (Grant County International Airport) occasionally preferred.

Pay: $25-30/hr. Depending on experience

Duration: 4-6 months minimum, opportunity to extend longer.

Schedule: 15-20 hours a week (flexible around class schedule)
