What we do:

Basic American Food is a food processing company specializing in potatoes and beans. In the Rexburg plant we dehydrate millions of pounds of potatoes to make hash browns, casserole slices, and mash potatoes. These products go to food banks, schools, and many different chain restaurants.

What we offer:

Working dates of January 9th through March TBD. Potential/Ability to work longer than 3 months, but job is anticipated to last at least 3 months.

Earn $15.00/hr for Days and $17.00/hr for nights.

Our plant runs on 12 hour shifts 7 days a week.

Shifts Available:

• Days 7:00 am - 7:00 pm Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed
• Days 7:00 am - 7:00 pm Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat
• Nights 7:00 pm - 7:00 am Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed
• Nights 7:00 pm - 7:00 am Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat

Wed will be alternating, so you will work four days one week, three days the following week.

The work:

These Positions will be entry level Line Associate, and some will be trained for forklift. Certification provided by the company.

The job requirements for a Line Associate include:

• Must be able to consistently lift up to 50 lbs.
• Protecting yourself and others and participation in regular safety/sanitation inspections, maintaining orderliness of work areas, and ensuring proper Lock, Tag, and Try of equipment.
• Performing cleaning with the use of high-pressure hoses and cleaning agents on machinery, product belts, floors, pipes, and walls; also performing dry cleaning where applicable
• Observing all machinery for safe operations in the assigned area
• Protecting production capacity
• Must work Full time
• 2 or less unexcused absences + 1 excused absence.
