Work Hours/Shift:
Full Time - Days
You Will Be Responsible For:
Demonstrates the ability to care for all age groups and has the knowledge of care need differences.
Responds appropriately in emergency situations.
Reviews patient data and prioritizes daily care needs.
Interprets basic EKG rhythms and responds appropriately to any arrhythmia changes.
Reports any change in patient condition promptly to the patient’s nurse and the ICU RN.
Admits telemetry patients to the system; prepares telemetry pack and assures patient’s rhythm is reading at the station.
What You Will Need:

Current CPR adult and pediatric or competency validation within one month of hire.

Cardiac dysrhythmia class completion within 90 days of hire.

Job Summary:
Monitor patient status through assessment of ECG strips and arrhythmia interpretation. Possess troubleshooting skills to recognize monitoring the problems, identify probable causes, and seek solutions to correct the problem. Identify and responds to potentially life-threatening rhythm changes, initiate codes, record rhythms during code, continuous EKG monitoring with accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias and interval measurements. Appropriately responding to all monitor alarms.
