Technician I – Gainesville, TX
Location: Gainesville, TX
Term: Contract position – 6 months (extendable)
Shift: Monday to Friday – 8 am to 5 pm
Pay Rate: $14 per hour (based on experience)
Job Summary:
The Continuous Improvement Assistant is committed to driving companywide improvements with the support of a Lean Sigma Blackbelt. This individual will work as a member of the Lean Sigma team to drive and promote 5S activities and visual management.
Responsibilities:
1. Computer cable management solutions like bundling, routing, etc.
2. Power chords management solutions like bundling, routing, etc.
3. Lay floor tape according to 5S color coding
4. Create and place signs and labels at workstations, bins, cabinets, drawers
5. Any other activity related to 5S and visual management as required
- Basic knowledge of computer cables connections (USB/HDMI/Power chord)
- Able to work with a measuring tape and level
- Able to handle a paper cutter/knife
- Able to work with a drill and screwdriver
- Able to work with scissors
- No experience is required
- Acts in accordance with company values and related competencies
- Ability to read and review written communication
- Speech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English
- Ability to solve problems and think strategically
