Technician, Foundation/Grants (Administrative & Technical Support) Job at Westmoreland County Community College
Westmoreland County Community College is seeking qualified applicants for a Technician, Foundation & Grants. This position provides administrative and technical support to the Foundation/Grants department.
The pay rate for this position is $17.40/hour and we offer an excellent benefits package that includes:

QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING
- Associate Degree in a related field required.
- Two (2) years of relevant experience required.
- Experience providing assistance with foundations, foundation boards and grants preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Prepares internal and external written communications including meeting notifications, agendas and recording of minutes for the various board and committee meetings.
- Provide technical support for fund development related programs including special events, direct mail solicitations.
- Create, update and merge mailing lists, and donor related correspondence.
- Assists in compiling, analyzing, preparing reports, prospect profiles, donor proposals, and presentations for major/lead gift asks, using a variety of media and technological systems.
- Maintain policy and procedural documents for the Foundation and Board of Directors.
- Create and maintain an efficient office filing system both electronic and physical.
- Coordinate meeting arrangements with multiple internal and external customers.
- Generate daily gift reports and ensure assignments are made for follow-up thank you calls; track progress of assignments.
- Draft and prepare periodic stewardship reports (e.g., lifetime giving) for donors as necessary.
- Work with the accounting department and the financial aid department to get and share reports on scholarships.
- Draft, compile, and send email messages through the Raiser’s Edge e-mail and online giving pages.
- Maintain research lists and conduct wealth screening through the Blackbaud ResearchPoint solution to support effective campaign planning and development.
- Enter and update information in the Foundation database (Raiser’s Edge), including but not limited to biographical information, stewardship accounts, news articles, and deceased notifications. Also, interact with the College’s ERP system Anthology and the scholarship software Blackbaud.
- Generate specialized mailing and email lists for donor, alumni, and partnership outreach.
- Produce and develop ad-hoc reports and standard Raiser’s Edge reports to support development and fundraising efforts.
- Ensure reconciliation of gifts between the Raiser’s Edge NXT and Anthology Finance systems on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Oversee and administer the Blackbaud Merchant Services credit card transaction portal and process online gifts as well as recurring credit card gifts.
- Complete Individual Training Account (ITA) forms, calculate programs costs, and act as a contact for incoming Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) students, as well as access student profiles, financial aid information, schedules, and evaluations on the College database system.
- Enter all eligible High Priority Occupation (HPO) programs offered at Westmoreland onto the Commonwealth Workforce Development System (CWDS) statewide website.
Successful candidate will be required to obtain/provide the following clearances prior to hire:
- PA Child History clearance
- PA Criminal Record Check clearance
- FBI Federal Criminal History Record
