POSITION OVERVIEW – Technical Writer
In this role, you will be writing customer facing content. This content will serve our residential customers, commercial customers, Customer Care, Technical Customer Support and Field Services. You will be producing technical manuals, data sheets and provide feedback on our website, apps and software. Write CSS to create custom web output.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Use DITA XML to author manuals for residential EVSE (electric vehicle supply equipment) products.
  • Use conditionalization to maintain a single set of documents, with changes based on country of use.
  • Manage translation into European and Asian languages with third-party translation agency.
  • Use Adobe After Effects to create instructional videos for residential customers.
  • Use DITA XML to author manuals for commercial EVSE products.
  • Use DITA XML to author internal manufacturing instructions and diagnostic guides for residential and commercial EVSE products.
  • Use DITA XML to author user guides for Business-to-Business (B2B) Enterprise platforms.
  • Use Markdown to author, review, and edit partner API documentation.
  • Use XSL to create custom stylesheets for PDF outputs.
  • Contribute technical content to RFPs and the proposal specialist will keep technical responses for future use and maintain the response library.
  • Maintain internal documentation hub using HTML, PHP, Javascript, and CSS.
  • Comfortable researching engineering drawings, CAD models, and bills of materials.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
  • DITA XML, Solidworks, PLM system, Oxygen, XSL, CSS, PHP, HTML, Zendesk Curly Brackets.
  • Nice to have: Javascript


  • EDUCATION University Degree preferred BS Electrical Engineering
