About the Role

The Technical Writer in the Online Assessments team is responsible for producing high-quality documentation related to specifications and administration of online proctoring for PSI’s computer-based examinations across the US.

This is a full-time, salaried permanent role, with the option to be hybrid (full remote potential) during general US business hours but may include early mornings, late evenings and weekends on occasion (work schedule will be modified accordingly where adjustments are warranted).

Role Responsibilities

• Work across Global Operations groups at PSI to obtain an in-depth understanding of our online proctoring solutions (on a variety of high stakes exams).
• Obtain and understanding of confidentiality and security issues of all exams administered.
• Create high-quality documentation for online proctoring ranging in subject from administrative to technical.
• Write easy-to-understand user interface text, online help and developer guides.
• Create tutorials to help end-users with our online proctoring applications.
• Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on understanding the technology architecture.
• Assist in other duties within scope of the Online Assessments team as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in testing environment or invigilation/proctoring desirable.
• Experience writing technical documentation highly desirable.
• Computer literacy required, skills in Microsoft Office and Atlassian software are desirable.
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easy to understand in technical documentation that can be adapted for multiple audiences.
• High attention to detail required.
• Sample writings should be submitted as part of the application process.
