LS Technologies currently has an opening for a National Air Space (NAS) Telecommunications Support Engineer. This position will support the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) AJW-B100 Enterprise Operations Group. The AJW-B100 Team is part of the FAA AJW-B NAS Security and Enterprise Operations Support Team, one of seven Technical Operations Service units that collectively and collaboratively provide safe and efficient flight services through responsive and cost-effective maintenance of the NAS facilities, systems, and equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop courses and conduct training on FAA systems including: NAS Message Replacement (NMR), Automated Message Handling Systems (AMHS), Weather Message Switching Center Replacement (WMSCR), Automated Weather Observing System Data Acquisition System (ADAS RASP).
• Develop and conduct training for: Networking, Internet Protocol Monitoring Tool (IPMT) workshops, NAS Overview briefings, and new systems such as Enterprise Information Display System (EIDS) and FAA Enterprise Network Services (FENS), Central Site System Weather and Flight Data) (CSS-WX and CSS-Flight Data).
• Additional courses may be added by agency demands.
• Develop and conduct training for Integrated Enterprise Services Platform (IESP), Linux, VMWare, SWIM Flight Data Processing System (SFDPS), NAS Common Reference (NCR), Aeronautical Information Management Modernization system (AIMM) (after deployment), Identity and Access Management system (IAM).
• Additional courses as they are added by agency need.
• Prep is required prior to teaching courses.
• In addition to course training provide support to maintain briefing and training material currency.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in STEM field (Engineering, Math, or Science) are required.
• 8 Years minimum relevant related experience.
• Documented teaching experience OR BIT
• Documented technical background (virtualization, networking)
• Documented writing ability (technical documents)
• Previous FAA experience a plus.
• Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in MS Office 365 suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
• Strong background in Telecommunications and/or Teaching a plus
• Must be an independent, innovative and highly self-motivated individual.
• Must work well in a team environment
• Must be able to communicate clearly orally, verbally in writing in English.

Clearance:

Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
