1st ShiftABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Position Summary
Supervises a mechanical maintenance crew involved in the maintenance and installation of mechanical equipment and systems. Responsible for implementing and setting priorities for the preventive maintenance program which includes greasing and lubricating, replacing filters in air and hydraulic systems, changing belts or drive equipment, checking product handling equipment for wear or damage, inspecting crane cables and hooks and checking hydraulic and pneumatic systems for spills or leaks. Responsible for selection, training, evaluation, discipline, motivation and safety of the mechanical maintenance team. Accountable for employee compliance with safety procedures.

Essential to this Position
- Provide and maintain a safe working environment for all employees, including auditing, addressing unsafe behaviors and conditions, timely reporting safety incidents and enforcing safety-related policies and procedures.
- Implement and set priorities for the preventive maintenance program.
- Direct the reduction of scrap through implementation of effective training techniques and process controls, while eliminating poor mold conditions using corrective actions and mold maintenance forms.
- Lead technical teams in troubleshooting injection molding processing problems.
- Maintain a high degree of plant floor visibility throughout the shift.
- Facilitate and execute continuous improvement activities, including capital projects and major repairs.
- Annual performance review of maintenance team members.

- Knowledge of methods, accepted practices, considerations, and regulatory requirements associated with safety and protection of the employees, environment and site
