The Technical Service Engineer will be based in Williston North Dakota. The main duties will be to work within the technical team, interact with the laboratories in Houston, Broussard & Local laboratory. Interact and provide technical support, travel to the field within North Dakota. TSE as focal point for technical communication bet ween North Dakota and Houston (HQ). Participate and involve in technical meeting or event with customer, testing, propose and apply technical solution approved by SLB. Participate and contribute in knowledge sharing groups.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Capable to perform the technical services scope for Production Chemistry such as: Perform Technical System Analysis for production facilities oil, water & gas processing system and production chemical injection system.
  • Independently perform field monitoring test related to production chemical applications.
  • Perform production chemical field trial, chemical dosage optimization as per live process condition and perform troubleshooting for the under perform chemical or upset process condition which can improve either chemical performance or field process condition.
  • Perform production chemicals product QAQC check and capable to handle the lab testing equipment for chemical properties test.
  • Perform multiple laboratory test related to production chemicals application such as Corrosion, Scale, Wax, demulsifier, asphaltene.
  • Prepare the technical proposal, field performance report, laboratory testing report and Technical System Analysis finding.
  • Report for internal reference and for the customer.
  • Assist and support Regional Technical Service Manager on technical request from tech trax, tender, RFQ, RFI and technical proposal.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education - B.Sc. in Science (Chemistry or Chemical Engineering) Experience -
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Production Chemicals, fully conversant technically capable with upstream / midstream chemicals.
  • Commodity and Specialty chemical recommendations and applications experience is essential.
  • Recommendations and application types may include, but not limited to Upstream Water Management, Production and Pipeline Flow Assurance, and Asset Integrity and Reliability. Knowledge – Technical knowledge of chemical applications in oil & gas production.
  • Complete understanding of oilfield processes is required.
  • Chemistry and Metallurgy Application background in Paraffin, Corrosion, Scale-Hydrate Inhibition, Emulsion Breakers and Water Clarifiers, Scavengers, Dissolvers, Cleaners and Biocides.
  • Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship.
  • Company can provide relocation
