ATL is Seeking a Technical Instructor/Writer to support the execution of the ALU DEO Instructor Support contract in Fort Lee, VA

Technical Instructor/Writer

Required Education and Experience:

  • Current Military Instructor/Writer Certification for course to be instructed. These certifications (or equivalent) include one or more of the following.
    • Installation Staff & Contractor Cadre Training Course (ISCTC).
    • Common Faculty Development Program-Instructor Course (CFDP-IC)
    • Common Faculty Development Program-Development Course (CFDP-DC)
    • Training Development Capability Course (TDC)


  • Instructors must meet training, technical and tactical certification of course content, and document experience level requirements of the course they are contracted to deliver.
  • Must have at a minimum a bachelor’s degree or two (2) years of Staff and Faculty Instructor experience in lieu of the degree requirement.
  • Must be knowledgeable of applicable regulations and doctrine regarding military instructor/facilitator and staff and faculty training (TRADOC 350-6, 350-10, 350-70 and TP 525-8-2 (Army Learning Concept).
  • Work experience teaching/facilitating and reviewing, updating course materials and using training aids and manuals.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

  • Possess outstanding communication skills (verbal and nonverbal).
  • Maintain all required training during employment.
  • Possess skills/knowledge of performing office automation work that includes word processing, electronic mail, spreadsheets, presentations, and other personal computer applications; typing a variety of materials from rough draft into final form including narrative and tabular material, e.g., correspondence, reports, and forms; maintaining records, historical records, survey results, reference library of training catalogs, regulations and other miscellaneous publications; establishing and maintaining office functional files and reference files; knowledge management applications e.g., SharePoint, Army training requirements and resources system (ATRRS), and Blackboard.

US Citizen, No Clearance Requirement


Supervisory Responsibility:
None


Work Environment:

Normal hours for conducting business between the hours of 0800 to 1700, with personnel schedules staggered to allow for classroom availability between the hours of 0700 to 1800

Monday thru Friday except Federal Holidays or when the Government facility is closed due to local or national emergencies, administrative closings, or similar Government directed facility closings.
