JOB DESCRIPTION:
JCPRD is looking for a Technical Analyst III. The job performs highly complex duties related to installing, maintaining, and repairing hardware and/or software as well as identifying, prioritizing, and resolving problems within information systems products and services. The position is located at the Shawnee Mission Park Administration building at 7900 Renner Road, Shawnee Mission, KS.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Plans, executes, and administers the selection, installation, configuration, deployment, patching of hardware and software, in a timely, cost effective, and compatible manner; ensures proper installation of cables, operating systems, firmware, drivers, and/or appropriate software.
- Performs computer imaging, deployment, and ensures computers are up to date.
- Provides the highest level of advanced technical support and resolution for hardware and software issues; resolves technical problems using expertise and available tools. Leads problem solving efforts with vendors to obtain completion of software and equipment support activities; contributes to the creation of support processes, procedures, and documentation. Assist lower-level technical analysts to resolve complex issues.
- Monitors server backups for immediate problems and resolves routine issues; monitors LAN performance; recommends and implements approved corrective action; works with ISP providers on establishing new services, relocates, and resolving outages; maintains accurate and current documentation
- Leads in the provisioning and administration of Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform for the integration of mobile devices, including access control, application management, operating system upgrades, and patching.
- Assist in the planning and management of technology projects from idea generation and feasibility stage to implementation.
- Collaborate with other agencies and technology teams to configure and maintain active directory user accounts, security groups, and policies. Ensure standards are met and maintained across all product sets and solutions.
- Performs asset management (ITAM) ensuring technology assets are accounted for, cataloged, deployed, maintained, and disposed.
Days/Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. (on-call, as needed)
Qualifications
Educational Requirements: Associate degree in the following field(s) of study: Information Technology and three (3) years of relevant experience in the information technology field required. Education can substitute for experience. Professional Experience: Working knowledge of Windows 10, Windows Server, O365, Microsoft Teams, Basic Active Directory Administration, laptops, desktops, tablets, asset management, patch management software, ITSM ticketing software, and project management required. Certifications preferred in any of the following standards: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Server +, CompTIA Network +
