Summary
In order to protect our employees and continue to provide safe and reliable service to our communities, as of November 14, 2021, we are requiring all new MTA hires to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to their start date. MTA will consider exceptions for religious and medical reasons, where appropriate. “Fully vaccinated” means you must have both doses of a 2-dose vaccine and two weeks have elapsed since the second dose or have received 1 dose of a 1-dose vaccine and two weeks have elapsed since the dose. Proof of your vaccination status in the form of a CDC vaccine card must be submitted prior to your start date.
Responsibilities
This position is responsible for assisting the Senior Manager in providing technical support, training, and implementation of new features within Peoplesoft and Building Engines suite of products for our user community. Peoplesoft and Building Engines systems are a critical business system for managing and tracking all MTA real property interests.
Assist the Senior Manager, Real Estate, in matters related to managing Peoplesoft and Building Engines systems as follows:
Monitor data integrity to ensure the completeness of records including mailbox database and package logs
Respond to user’s Building Engines and vendor’s invoice inquires (includes MTA and outsourced staff), by researching, analyzing, and resolving issues. Provide first line of support.
Develop and assist with training and quantitative materials that represent product usage/support of our business practices
Coordinate on a regular basis with Peoplesoft and Building Engines resource teams for: training, conversion, upgrades, and development of new equipment features.
Participate in demonstrations and other activities to introduce new ways of using the system for more efficient business processes
Assist with implementations of equipment upgrades and acquiring new equipment including training, and technical support
Assist in equipment upgrade efforts including user acceptance testing, data integrity and integration with other MTA systems, making appropriate determinations and recommendations
Promote usage of the system
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience with Commercial Real Estate, Property Management, or Accounting.
Strong computer skills, knowledge of database design and reporting tools such as SQL
Competency with MS Office applications required, particularly Word and Excel.
Superior verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to review and interpret financial and operational reports, including knowledge of project reporting and tracking.
Must possess skills in maintaining accurate and thorough reports and records.
Ability to work constructively and interact professionally with peers.
Ability to coordinate multiple tasks, adjust to changing priorities and work within deadlines.
Strong attention to detail.
Education and Experience
A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
A minimum of three years of experience with Yardi Voyager, other Yardi products or similar system, in addition to a bachelor’s degree.

As an employee of MTA Headquarters, you may be required to complete an annual financial disclosure statement with the State of New York, if your position earns more than $105,472 (this figure is subject to change) per year or if the position is designated as a policy maker.
