Overview of Position
Systems Administrators are responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems and servers. They install hardware and software and participate in research and development to continuously improve and keep up with the IT business needs of their organization. System administrators also actively resolve problems and issues with computer and server systems to limit work disruptions within the company. The Systems Administrator will need to have the ability to filter thru new problems, project work and help calls to determine priority of issues.
Job Responsibilities
Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers and all network connected components
Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues.
Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff and users to aid in trouble shooting and resolution of technical issues.
Systems Administrators are also expected to be able to follow documented processes and make recommendations for improvements.
Support and improve operations of the departmental procedures, work to mentor other employees within their group, strive to always answer the calls of our customers. Recommend process changes and system solutions to meet business requirements. Maintain the proper rapport with customers; pass along requests and projects according to the documented intake procedure. Supply the IT group, management, etc. with reports and statistics related to SLAs.

Requirements
Minimum
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other relevant degree; or equivalent experience.
Zero to four years of progressive work experience in IT or related field.
Excellent PC skills and knowledge of Office 365 Tools
High Level of customer service orientation
Ability to communicate information clearly and concisely
Must be able to work independently or in a team environment
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks
Ability to research and solve problems
Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to work on short notice when necessary (on call duties are a part of this position)
Ability to work with, communicate effectively with and influence all levels of the organization
Strong analytical, interpersonal, oral, and written skills.
Job may require up to 25% travel time.
