Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented System Administrator to join our team in Cherry Point, NC location.

Basic Qualifications:


The candidate must have experience in the following:

  • Must have knowledge of TCP/IP, information security/authorization profiles, or system administration of Linux or Windows networks/systems
  • Must be capable of managing the servers, which typically involves installing and upgrading the servers, as well as solving any kind of problems with the systems
  • Must provide the essential software support for laptop computers, including the configuration of the hardware devices, testing new software and designing the structure of the network
  • Must be capable of monitoring the system configuration, including the server event log
  • Must be capable of testing the operating system software, the networking software and also the computer hardware
  • Maintain system security and data integrity
  • Must be capable of monitoring and developing the procedures for backups of the servers
  • Maintain data files and control procedures for a system of networked computers

Preferred experience:

  • Knowledge of OOMA system and aircraft data reports
  • Knowledge of the MCEN and NAVAIR Networks
  • Experience with eMASS and/or MCCAST
  • Knowledge of registering applications within DADMS
  • Knowledge of registering a system within DITPR-DON
  • Experience with applying and verifying DoD Secure Technical Implementation Guidance (STIG), checklist and Security Requirements Guides (SRGs) in addition to reporting compliance via the Vulnerability Remediation Asset Manager (VRAM)
  • Demonstrates providing solutions for and implementing RMF security controls
  • Efficient in analyzing, developing, implementing, testing and evaluation of software components and/or systems

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (+5 years’ experience), Associate’s Degree (+7 years’ experience), or High School Diploma (+9 years’ experience)
  • Security + Certification
  • Linux and/or Windows Certification (Windows preferred)

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time

  • Must be able to communicate converse and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
  • Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as calculator, computer printer and copy machine

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Secret Security Clearance required. In addition to the security clearance, this position may require an additional background screening for base access
  • U.S. Citizenship required
