As a Sustainable Building Advisor on the Perkins and Will team, you will:

  • Primarily act in the USGBC application process
  • Prepare LEED or other rating system-specific documentation
  • Become an expert in sustainable design strategies and third-party rating systems (LEED, WELL, fitwel, Reli, etc.)
  • Conduct Sustainable Performance Review Reporting on all projects and give the studio quarterly updates.
  • Liaise with architectural and interiors project and consultant teams in undertaking targeted sustainable building performance calculations and product research.
  • Direct and advise project managers on a variety of projects including LEED coordination and documentation and green building strategies.
  • Complete building performance analysis (i.e., daylight and energy analysis, embodied carbon).
  • Analyze data and interpret trends and statistics as required to support project deliverables.
  • Prepare technical content for sustainable design presentations, reports, and other client deliverables.
  • Be responsible for tracking and reporting on trends and programs within service sectors.
  • Develop and present sustainability-related topics for staff education and grow firm-wide resources.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Hold a degree in Architecture, Design, or related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Licensed architect or interior designer preferred
  • Be a LEED Accredited Professional (required); specialty credential highly desirable.
  • Have a strong knowledge of and applied experience directing and coordinating the US LEED Green Building Rating Systems and/or other sustainable design performance tools
  • Have familiarity with project specifications, architectural drawings, and building construction
  • Think critically and strategically, and be able to conduct self-directed research and analysis with a limited degree of supervision
  • Communicate effectively (oral and written) with both clients and colleagues
  • Be highly proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat, InDesign
  • Can juggle multiple projects/assignments at one time
  • Work collaboratively with team members.

At the time of posting this job advertisement, the annual pay salary range for this position is between $75,000 and $105,000 commensurate with qualifications
