Sushi Chef Job at Buck and Rider
Buck & Rider is hiring Sushi Chefs who are ready to grow with our brand. Our Sushi team is ever growing and expanding our menu offerings. They provide dependable, fast service to the team and guests. This team works closely with the Executive Chef as well as research and development for all things sushi. You will get to help create and evolve the sushi and crudo menu.
Our team goes to extraordinary lengths to bring you the best ingredients. We take a mindful approach to sourcing, monitoring the Monterey Bay Seafood Watch endangered species list and buying directly from small producers around the world who engage in sustainable fishing and oyster farming practices. We fly their catch into our kitchens every day. That means hand-picked Louisiana blue crab for our famous crab cakes and Ora King salmon in our sushi.
Day in the Life:

Day in the Life:
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and guests
- Responsible for preparing side and sushi items for our guests in accordance with portioning, recipe and service guidelines
- Keeps work areas and food storage areas, clean and safe at all times.
- Primarily works in front of guests while preparing foods at the sushi bar
- Monitors and ensures the portioning of foods prepared at the sushi bar and maintains the cleanliness and sanitation of the sushi bar and equipment
- Work quickly to keep up with the pace of the restaurant and team
- Reading and following department of health standards and food industry standards
- Adhere to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures
- Perform all other duties as required, including prep work or additional tasks as needed
