PURPOSE OF POSITION:

WLB is looking for a motivated individual interested in being part of a team-based work environment in our Flagstaff, AZ office. The Survey Crew Chief will typically operate as either a one-man or two-man field survey crew. Surveying work may be performed throughout Arizona, but will be primarily performed in Flagstaff and Northern Arizona areas. Applicants should be detailed oriented with a high level of understanding of the principles and practices of surveying, and have experience performing field surveys including Topographic Surveys, Boundary Surveys, and construction staking.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Lead survey field crew in construction staking, boundary surveys, and topographic surveys. Requires a firm understanding of survey and construction processes

· Ability to read construction plans, survey drawings, and plat maps for understanding of field work

· Operate Trimble Hardware and Software (GPS/GNSS, TSC3, Total Stations, Access, and TBC)

· Communicate in a timely and effective manner

· Consistently conducts oneself in a positive and professional manner

· Understanding of project schedule and budgets in relation to performing field work

· May perform pre-field staking calculations and preparation of as-staked cutsheets

QUALIFICATIONS:

· 3-5 Years Experience Minimum

· Maintain a current driver’s license in good standing

· LSIT preferred.

· Basic understanding of ACAD preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour

• Flagstaff, AZ 86001: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• AutoCAD: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
• Surveyor License (Preferred)
