Pay Range: $19.34-$28.16 per hour

Your starting hourly wage will be directly based upon years of relevant experience to the position. We will give you full credit for each year of past experience you have.

Basic Job Function and Responsibilities

To assist the Registered Nurse with patient care and specific procedures relative to the Obstetrics Department, Operating Room or Endoscopy Suite. Promote the Mission, Vision and Values of the organization.

Job Duties/Performance Expectations

• Assists with procedures related to admitting and transferring patients; assists with transporting, lifting, and positioning patients; patient preparations, taking vital signs, scrub duties for vaginal and c-section deliveries/surgeries.
• Attends and participates in department meetings and in-service programs.
• Instructs patient and family relative to routine care techniques.
• Maintains and cleans designated areas following procedures.
• Makes suggestion for changes and improvements in the department.
• Participates in sponge and sharps count for surgical procedures as required by area assignment.
• Recognizes signs of complications while performing techniques and seeks guidance in rectifying complications; keeps the RN informed of conditions and problems encountered during patient care/surgical procedures.
• Selects and prepares routine supplies and equipment for procedures using aseptic technique; stores and rotates supplies. May include sterilization of instruments and supplies.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
