Surgery Scheduling Coordinator Job at ADV Vision
We are a fun, fast paced ophthalmology practice in San Luis Obispo county. We are looking for an energetic, motivated Surgery Scheduling Coordinator. Our ideal candidate is someone who will create strong relationships with both our patients and referring doctors to ensure we build trust, loyalty and unprecedented service to meet their needs. Applicants must have excellent verbal and communication skills and be a confident multi-tasker.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage patient charts
- Review Pre-Op and Post-Op Instructions with patients
- Coordinate all cataract surgeries between ADV and Surgery Center
- Complete surgical checklist before set deadlines
- Order lenses
- Collect H&P
- Update/maintain company database
- Collect payments
- Coordinate insurance authorizations with billing department
- Coordinate transportation on surgery day for patient
- Manage co-management paperwork
- Patient coordination with ODs
- General E-mail communication with patients, vendors, etc., as needed.
1 year of surgery scheduling experience required.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Santa Maria, CA 93454: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
- Medical terminology: 1 year (Preferred)
- Computer skills: 1 year (Required)
