Support III - Sewer Feeder Strider - Manufacturing Job at Tempur Sealy
Responsible for moving raw materials from the storage areas / materials supermarkets and components from the production areas to the work areas. Reads the work orders/production tickets to determine the appropriate materials to pull and move. May use carts to transport materials.
Experience in sewing preferred but, willing to train the right person.
We are hiring for a 1st shift operator in our Green Island, NY production facility.
Pay: $22.70 per hour

- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work in a non-airconditioned environment
- Must be able to work flexible hours
- Must show ability to run commercial sewing machines
- Continuous standing while operating the sewing machine
- Frequent walking to retrieve materials and put finished unit into storage areas
- Frequent pushing and pulling of work piece while on the sewing table
- Frequent repetitive use of hands/arms while aligning pieces of fabric and feeding them into the machine
- Frequent repetitive use of foot to activate the sewing machine
- Frequent lifting and carrying of work in process
- Occasional reaching over head to retrieve component parts
- Occasional grasping of fabric pieces and scissors
