Maintains, cleans and assembles equipment. Orders supplies, manages the cylinder inventory and services the central gas system. Manages the stock medication inventory and services the remote medication carts.

Responsibilties:
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the care, cleaning, disposition and storage of equipment and supplies.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the management and security of stock medications. Performs all other duties as assigned.
  • Documents all data and findings in a consistent, comprehensive and legible manner. Documentation includes, but is not limited to equipment logs, receivers, environment of care logs, repair tags, service reports and all other medical records compliance.
  • Enters and maintains charges for equipment.
  • Provides observations to identify and evaluate the state of equipment in order to maintain patient and equipment safety.
  • Maintains infection control standards throughout the department and in satellite locations.
  • Maintains the safety and security of the cylinder inventory and centralized medical gas supply systems.
  • Recognizes and responds to medical gas supply system alarms.
  • Maintains equipment in a state of readiness.
  • Manages equipment levels in order to prevent rentals.
  • Maintains medical gas and therapeutic supply levels within the department and in satellite locations.
  • Manages supplies and medications in order to provide all prescribed patient care.
  • Communicates and collaborates with all members of the patient care team including nursing, pharmacy, receiving and transport staff.
  • Manages communications between equipment technicians, clinical and biomedical staff.
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
  • Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
  • Lifts a minimum of 5 lbs., pushes and pulls a minimum of 5 lbs. and stands a minimum of 6 hour a day.

Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
