JOB PURPOSE:

Supply chain optimization and production scheduling of optical fiber manufacturing processes.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or another related field.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

· 3+ years of manufacturing experience

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (Preferred qualifications)

· Six Sigma Green or Black Belt

· Graduate degree in related field

· Demonstrated programming experience or aptitude to learn SQL, C#, .Net, and possibly other programming languages.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Develops production and inventory control plans throughout optical fiber manufacturing processes and monitors progress to plan.

· Communicates production schedules and capacity requirements to sales, production leadership, and factory personnel

· Identifies and implements continuous improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and documentation.

· Reviews finished and in process product data to ensure product quality and delivery commitments are met.

· Troubleshoots / resolves problems that occur during production including staffing , raw material shortages and logistics delays.

· Interfaces with sales and engineering teams to understand customer requirements and ability to meet those requirements.

· Provides monthly and quarterly forecasts to key suppliers.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

· Ability to troubleshoot and independently resolve supply chain / manufacturing issues

· Proven experience in manufacturing planning and forecasting

· Strong knowledge of problem-solving methods and quality control principles.

· Strong organizational and communication skills

· Ability to manage complex projects of substantial importance with minimal oversight

· Ability to effectively communicate inside and outside of the organization and influence change

· Ability to makes significant improvements in processes, systems, or products.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
